With NSW consultation sessions now underway, this resource is intended to assist native title holders and PBCs to engage in discussions from an informed position. It provides a short overview of the NSW proposed approach, why the detail matters, and some of the key questions groups may wish to raise during consultation.

Importantly, the information sheet also notes that accepting the proposal may involve giving up rights to bring a native title compensation claim in the Federal Court for certain past acts. That is why it is important for groups to have clear information before making any decisions.
