The YIMBA team had a fantastic time attending The Summit 2024 held by the NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce. It’s great to see this event growing year on year and bringing so many amazing Indigenous Businesses together in the building and construction space.

Adrian Craig and Chris Dimitriadis from the YIMBA team spoke too many familiar faces and made many new contacts. Unfortunately, our Managing Director Damien Barnes was unable to attend this year due to attending the APEC – Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Lima Peru.

The NSWICC Summit brought together Indigenous business leaders, government representatives and industry experts, all focused on advancing Indigenous engagement and innovation across sectors like construction, renewables and manufacturing.

Day 1 was the Indigenous Business exhibition attended by hundreds of Indigenous Businesses from throughout NSW. Day 2, led by the iconic Ernie Dingo as MC, was the forum of powerful speakers and panelists who shared invaluable insights on topics ranging from inclusive supply chains to the role of Indigenous Businesses in Australia’s energy transition.

Thanks again NSWICC for the event and naming YIMBA as a finalist for the Environment and Sustainability award. Congratulations to fellow nominee Inspire Energy and winner Gamuda Australia and we look forward to seeing you all again next year.
