Recently, the team at YIMBA enjoyed working in Booderee National Park, Jervis Bay Territory on Yuin Country assisting Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community Council (WBACC) preparing a Request for Tender for a significant Commonwealth Government Project.
WBACC is a Commonwealth created entity that owns and manages land in the Jervis Bay Territory. It is incorporated under the Aboriginal Land and Waters (Jervis Bay Territory) Act 1986 (Cth) and performs many of the same roles and functions as a local council under the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW).
By controlling and managing its own lands and waters, the community aims to be self-sufficient and able to freely determine its future. The community desires to do this by protecting its interests and values while preserving for future generations, its unique identity, heritage and culture.
By combining our expertise, resources, unique perspectives, and collaborating with our clients, YIMBA aims to create impactful solutions to achieve shared goals. Whether it’s legal, commercial management or consulting, YIMBA is committed to building strong relationships and making a positive impact for our clients.
